Resident Spotlight…Paul T on the 3rd floor

Paul has been at Hampton Plaza for about two and a half years. Previously he lived in another apartment complex for ten years, and he does not miss it at all. He absolutely loves his apartment by the pool and says it is just perfect for him.

The first thing that Paul wants people to know about him is that he is a big, (make that huge) Orioles fan! He has had season tickets since 1993 and is a collector of all sorts of Oriole memorabilia. Of course, he has a vast selection of Oriole t-shirts, and he usually wears one of them.  His all-time favorite player is Brooks Robinson. The Orioles are lucky to have such a naturally outgoing and enthusiastic person as a fan. Anyone would be thrilled to have Paul as a “cheerleader” of their team.  During the winter months, his energy goes in support of the Baltimore Blast.

Paul has worked at John Hopkins for the past 32 years. He works in their maintenance department and works on trash removal.  I am sure he is a very valued member of that team; his positive and good-natured attitude must be greatly appreciated.

His family consists of two brothers and a sister. His closest brother lives in Harrisburg, PA, while his other brother is in Colorado, and his sister is in Phoenix, AZ. He has many nieces and nephews. His mother is in Phoenix, living in an assisted living facility.

He is a very devoted and committed congregant of the Lutheran Calvery Church on Old Harford Rd. Paul has been a member there for 20 years. He helps them as much as he can with their outdoor services with both set-up and clean-up. When I asked Paul how he always stays so upbeat, his reply was, “I am this way because I put God first.”

We love having Paul at Hampton Plaza. Super friendly, outgoing, and approachable, he really adds so much to our community.
